Detroit Entertainment and Event Center Utilities

The Detroit Entertainment and Event Center is better known as the future home of the Detroit Red Wings.

This project involved providing water, sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure to the new arena. One of the first items constructed was 42” storm sewer that 28’ deep in Henry Street. This work was complicated by the existing utilities that were present. A portion of this work was completed using jack and bore to get under the intersection of Henry and Clifford. This work was completed while still provide access to fans attending other local sports arenas.

This project also involved the construction of 10” and 12” watermain. The watermain was constructed in stages to allow work on other critical items to progress. AICC constructed this project as a part of the Blaze-Iafrate Joint Venture. This project also involves the construction of all on site storm, water and sanitary.
