Ford Rouge DDMP Phase 2

The Ford River Rouge Complex is a Ford Motor Company automobile factory complex located in Dearborn, Michigan, along the Rouge River. Construction began in 1917, and when completed in 1928 it had become the largest integrated factory in the world.

Iafrate Construction has worked on numerous projects at the Rouge Complex over the last 20 years.

Iafrate Construction was subcontracted by Walbridge to complete the separation of the fire main system that supplies the Dearborn Diversified Manufacturing Plant (DDMP) from the AK Steel process water main.

Close coordination through Walbridge with Ford Rouge Complex personnel, AK Steel personnel and other Contractors performing renovations to the DDMP facility was required in order to maintain access at all times.

Despite a number of unknown and unforeseen underground obstructions, the project was completed on time and within budget.
