The multiple tasks at hand required Angelo Iafrate to coordinate daily with both the Owner and the Construction Manager. Since existing plant operations could not be compromised, AICC created a detailed project schedule that not only tracked the duration of specific work activities, but also tracked resources, manpower and equipment, assigned to complete each of these activities.

While Heritage 2000 was not a “design-build” project, there were a total of forty-nine Construction Bulletins issued – an average of two per month. Management of these many changes required an extraordinary amount of coordination between the project management team and field operations staff to ensure that the appropriate changes in the scope of work were understood and that the contract drawings were reviewed and distributed to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
