GM Pontiac New Stormwater Detention

This project was a design/build contract started in 2011 and substantially complete in the same year. The scope of work included demolition and site preparation, excavation, installation of underground utilities and concrete paving.

One of the unique aspects of this project was the installation of an HDPE liner in the detention pond. The work in this project included working through the environmental aspects of redeveloping a brown field site, which included segregation, handling and disposal of contaminated material. As part of the underground utilities, we installed a 42 inch section of concrete storm sewer by means of tunnel boring under the visitor center. The work was completed without incident and injury free.
